What this is
Gourmet Kaizoku is the food and drink group of the Kaizoku crew on Telegram. People post what they are eating and drinking, argue about it, and some of them keep score. This site is the group's receipts, sorted.
What counts as an entry
The rule is deliberately dumb, because a rule you have to think about is a rule nobody follows.
Post it
A photo in the group of something you ate or drank. One photo per thing. Extra angles of the same thing get folded in under it rather than counted twice.
Name it
Say what it was in the caption or the next message. If the label is unreadable and nobody says, it gets logged as unnamed rather than guessed at.
Score it, or don't
A number out of 10 if you feel like it. Unscored entries stay in the index, greyed, with a blank label. Dino logged 151 things before he started scoring and they all still count.
Hauls count too
Shop shelves, crates, fridge shots and bags. They get their own section instead of polluting the numbered index.
Nothing else is indexed
Ordinary group chat, stickers, voice notes and off-topic messages are not part of the export that builds these pages.
How a page gets built
No manual copy-typing. The spreadsheet is the source, the site is a view of it.
1 · Export
The group's Telegram history is exported, then read for posts that show food or drink.
2 · Sheet
Each post becomes a row: name, date, what it was, the review as written, the message id, the photo filename.
3 · Build
A script turns the sheet into the JSON this site reads. Commit a new export and the site rebuilds and deploys itself.
4 · Draw
Nothing is illustrated by hand. Each entry's colour is read from its flavour words and its shape from its container, so a wall of them is scannable before you read a word.
Reviews are quoted exactly as they were posted, typos and all. Scores are whatever the person said, never adjusted. Every entry links back to the original message in @GourmetKaizoku so you can check.
